Operations

Inside the
Antioquia operation.

105 hectares (259 acres) on a high-altitude plateau 1.5 hours from Medellín. Four grow cycles a year. Trained crews planting, pruning, harvesting, drying, and packing simultaneously.

A · Geography

An equatorial
spring,
365 days a year.

The farm sits at 2,120 m (6,960 ft) above sea level in the Antioquia highlands. At that altitude, on that latitude, the climate behaves like a perpetual mid-spring: stable temperatures around 23°C (74°F), almost no annual variation, and a consistent 12-hour daylight cycle that needs zero supplemental light.

The property's topographic survey identifies 14 marked springs — seven of them highly active — supplemented by roughly 2,300 mm (90 in) of annual rainfall and the Río Negro running along the southern boundary. Irrigation isn't a logistics problem here — it's a design decision.

The compound effect on cost structure is the part most investors miss. Other producers run lights, climate control, heaters, and dehumidifiers to simulate what Antioquia produces naturally. Our greenhouses are passive systems with sensors, not heated industrial buildings.

Where we operate

On the map: Marinilla, Antioquia.

The licensed operation sits in the municipality of Marinilla, in the Oriente Antioqueño region of Antioquia — 1.5 hours from Medellín. The map below zooms from Colombia down to the exact location.

B · Where we are today

100% operational. Continuous production.

Trained personnel plant, prune, harvest, dry, trim and pack simultaneously across staggered cycles. The processing facility is delivering a 10–15 day maximum drying cycle. Pharma certification is underway.

Footage from the farm

3,800 plants, vegetating right now.

This is the current cycle — rows of plants under the poly roof on the Antioquia plateau. Crop 05 was harvested in February; the next cycle starts within two weeks. The processing facility runs a 10–15 day maximum drying cycle, and trained crews work plant, prune, harvest, dry and pack stages simultaneously.

No supplemental lighting. No industrial heating. The equatorial highland climate does the work.

Context · security & political climate

The region is among the safest in the country. Strong police and military presence, with direct radio access for emergencies. Established relationships with local authorities. The political climate is calm and pro-agriculture — cannabis enjoys bipartisan support from both the Colombian right and left.

C · Technology stack

The software
and the steel.

In-house engineering underpins the farms. Eko2o Engineering S.A.S. designs and operates the greenhouses, irrigation, and environmental monitoring.

Tokan Software · Planned

Seed-to-final-product traceability, by design.

Tokan Software is MedCana's software arm. Its ERP — covering cultivation logs, harvest weights, lab results, processing steps and batch lineage — is a planned development, to be built out as the operation scales. SaaS licensing to other cannabis companies is envisioned as a later phase. The near-term focus is production, export, and revenue.

Eko2o Engineering S.A.S.

Greenhouses, irrigation, monitoring — designed in-house.

Eko2o is our agrotech subsidiary. Every greenhouse, drip line, sensor, and climate-control loop on our farms is engineered and installed by Eko2o. That keeps capex predictable, builds institutional knowledge inside the company, and gives us a second revenue line installing systems for third parties.

D · Where we are going

The next build-out.

The current 105-hectare (259-acre) property is staged into distinct production zones, each operating under one of the seven licensed cannabis entities in the holding — with shared processing and lab infrastructure across the site.
